For improving quality of the final product, the mined coal undergoes a beneficiation stage. The beneficiation decreases the ash content of coal and increases its calorific value. In addition to that, the coal concentrate is separated into different grades by size, whereby Donugol JSC has the ability to supply products fully meeting the requirements of various customers.
Today, 100% of coal mined by the company undergoes beneficiation, which helps to ensure high quality of all our products. The strategic goal for the nearest years is to integrate and achieve excellence in the following technologies: removal of physicochemical inherent moisture from anthracite (coal drying), beneficiation of coal dust 0.2-1 mm in size, briquetting of coal dust and other cutting-edge technologies for zero-waste coal production.
